My full design service offers a structured yet personal approach to transforming your outdoor space. Whether you start with a vague idea or a specific vision, you will walk away with a clear, tailored plan that perfectly matches your lifestyle, aspirations, and budget.

Site Visit & Consultation

The journey begins on-site. During this initial meeting, we will discuss your goals and needs while I get a feel for the existing space. Following our visit, I will send you a written brief that summarises your vision and outlines the proposed design process and fee structure.

Initial Design

Next, a topographical survey is conducted to accurately map out the site's layout, levels, and utilities. I then translate our initial ideas into 2D concept designs. At this stage my focus is entirely on the overall layout.

Developed Design

Once you approve the concept, we begin to look in more detail at the specifics of your garden. This phase introduces material palettes and planting ideas to define the garden's style. 3D imagery is produced to help you visualise the layout.

Construction Drawings

With the developed design approved, I produce the precise technical documentation required for construction. This package includes detailed layout drawings, construction details, lighting, irrigation, and cross-sections—giving your landscape contractor everything they need to build and quote the design accurately.

Planting Plan

Finally, I create a detailed planting plan specifying the exact location, names, sizes, quantities, and costs of all proposed plants. This is accompanied by a visual plant mood board to bring the design to life and, if required, a maintenance schedule to keep your new garden thriving.

Building Your Garden

A comprehensive tender package is put together and distributed to contractors for competitive quoting. I am happy to recommend trusted local contractors, or I can collaborate with a professional of your own choosing.

I can fully project manage the construction phase with regular site visits, or you are equally welcome to manage this stage yourself. Once the hard landscaping is complete, the final planting and styling with furniture will follow.
